To discuss the topic above first everyone know about the Nuclear weapons so the question is that what are nuclear weapons and what is their purposes?? So Nuclear weapons are those devices which are annihilated for all type of Human beings as well as living organism in no time factors because these are able to destroy whole world in within seconds.World has become the deadliest place to live with countries possessing deadly weapons and weapons of mass destruction like the atom bombs and nuclear bombs. Currently there are enough nuclear weapons in the world to destroy the earth easily. There are currently 5 countries that are recognized as nuclear weapon states, who have signed the NPT or Non-Proliferation Treaty to abide by its three pillars namely non-proliferation, disarmament, and the right to peacefully use nuclear technology. These five countries are USA, Russia, China, France, and United Kingdom. USA and Russia together possess the world’s 80% of the nuclear weapons. China on the other hand is believed to possess large amount of nuclear weapons, which are not disclosed to the world. India, Pakistan, Israel, and South Africa are the four countries in the world to have not signed the NPT. North Korea withdrew from the NPT program. South Africa, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan previously possessed nuclear weapons and later transferred all of those to Russia and joined NPT. By 1998, Cuba was the only non-nuclear country to have not signed the NPT and in 2002 Cuba also joined NPT.
Here is the list of top 10 countries with the most number of nuclear missiles or warheads in the world as of 2017:

10. Iran

Total Nuclear Missiles – N.A.
Iran is not a Nuclear power country because there is only a single Islamic country in the world which is considered as Nuclear power but few years early it was reported that Iran has made few Nuclear or chemical weapons for their country, So the Islamic Republic of Iran has now signed the treaty with America for the destruction of the Nuclear weapons because it is been reported that more than 1, 00,000 people were victims during the war of Iran and Iraq.Iran is a new addition to the list of countries that could possibly be possessing nuclear weapons and missiles. U.S. intelligence agency has already predicted that Iran could be possessing key ingredients to nuclear weapons. Their strength and the number of nuclear weapons and missiles are still unclear.

9. North Korea

Total Nuclear Missiles – 8
North Korea (officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea) has been active in developing nuclear technology since the 1950s. Although the country currently has no operational power-generating nuclear reactor, efforts at developing its nuclear power sector continue. Moreover, North Korea is widely believed to have developed nuclear weapons; it conducted what are widely accepted to have been nuclear tests in 2006, 2009, 2013, and 2016.North Korea declared that it has developed a nuclear weapon and they had conducted their first nuclear test in 2006 sparking protests from NPT countries. It is officially known as Democratic People’s Republic of Korea so far this country is continuously in news because it has increased large number of nuclear weapons in these years, it is been reported that North Korea has fired 3 Ballistic Missiles in recent days after United States of America. Again in 2007, North Korea confirmed that they have nuclear weapons. In 2009, they conducted their second successful test making the country “full-fledged nuclear power”. In 2013, North Korea is believed to have conducted their third nuclear test underground. Currently, they have small and mid-range nuclear missiles inducted into their armed forces.

8. Israel

Total Nuclear Missiles – 80
Israel is also popular country of the world but such not in Positive manners, this is officially known as State of Israel which is also called as the Jewish State, Israel is also one of the most hated country in the world because of its continuous war with Palestine therefore this is not only hated by Muslim countries but also by other countries of the world. Israel definitely needed its defense systems to be capable enough to counter any attacks on its soil. Though, Israel is known to possess huge amounts of nuclear missiles and weapons that might range from 80 to 400, but officially has 80 warheads in its nuclear arsenal. There are no evidence of date or record of its first nuclear test. Israel possesses a wide array of nuclear weapons ranging from Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles to submarine launched cruise missiles.Israel is widely believed to possess nuclear weapons and to be the sixth country in the world to have developed them, allegedly having built its first nuclear weapon in December 1966 with the help of France. It is one of four nuclear-armed countries not recognized as a Nuclear Weapons State by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the others being India, Pakistan and North Korea. Israel maintains a policy known as "nuclear ambiguity" (also known as "nuclear opacity"). Israel has never officially denied nor admitted to having nuclear weapons, instead repeating over the years that it would not be the first country to "introduce" nuclear weapons to the Middle East, leaving ambiguity as to whether it means it will not create, will not disclose, will not make first use of the weapons or possibly some other interpretation of the phrase. The "not be the first" formulation goes back to the Eshkol-Comer  memorandum of understanding made between Israel and the United States on March 10, 1965, which contained Israel's written assurance for the first time that it would not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons in the Middle East. Israel has refused to sign the NPT despite international pressure to do so, and has stated that signing the NPT would be contrary to its national security interests.

7. India

Total Nuclear Missiles – 100
India is the most important country of the world as India is officially known as Republic of India which is also one of the largest countries in the world, it has also second largest country with respect to population in the world with is about 130 crores, as talk about the defense of this country then it has surpassed many countries in the world because last year it has purchased third most weapons from Russia, so this country has about 90 to 110 nuclear weapons but many experiments of this country has been failed in which some are also in recent days therefore they are continuously working on their defense due to their cold border war with Pakistan. India started its nuclear research programme in 1967. India made its first surprise nuclear test in 1974 followed by the second test in 1998. India hasn’t officially declared or made any comments regarding the size of the nuclear arsenal it possesses. India has a strict “no-first-use” policy in place and would use the weapons only for retaliation purpose. India has already developed wide ranges of indigenous missiles such as the Agni and Prithvi series. In 1999 India was estimated to have 800 kg of separated reactor-grade plutonium, with a total amount of 8300 kg of civilian plutonium, enough for approximately 1,000 nuclear weapons. India is not a signatory to the 1968 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which it argues entrenches the status quo of the existing nuclear weapons states whilst preventing general nuclear disarmament.

6. Pakistan

Total Nuclear Missiles – 120
Pakistan is a non NPT signatory who is in race with India to possess more number of nuclear missiles and warheads. Pakistan’s nuclear programme was led by Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in 1972 in response to the developments on nuclear research and weapons from its neighbor India.Pakistan is one of the most beautiful and important countries of the world which came into map of the world in 1947 so this country is known as Islamic Republic of Pakistan under the constitution of 1973, it is also second largest country Islamic country in the world with respect to its population which is almost 200 millions. Bhutto fast tracked the nuclear research programme after India’s surprise nuclear test code-named the Smiling Buddha in 1974. Finally in 1998 after India’s second successful nuclear test, Pakistan detonated five nuclear devices in Ras Koh Hills in the Chagai district. This operation was code-named Chagai-I. Today, Pakistan has many nuclear missiles in its military reserve.Pakistan is one of nine states to possess nuclear weapons, and the only Muslim majority country to do so. Pakistan began development of nuclear weapons in January 1972 under Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who delegated the program to the Chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) Munir Ahmad Khan with a commitment to have the bomb ready by the end of 1976.Pakistan's fissile material production takes place at Nilore, Kahuta, and Khushab/Jauharabad, where weapons-grade plutonium is refined. Pakistan thus became the seventh country in the world to successfully develop and test nuclear weapons. Although, according to a letter sent by A.Q. Khan to General Zia, the capability to detonate a nuclear bomb using highly enriched uranium as fissile material produced at KRL had been achieved by KRL in 1984.

5. United Kingdom

Total Nuclear Missiles – 215
The United Kingdom was the third country to test an independently developed nuclear weapon, in October 1952. It is one of the five nuclear-weapon states under the NPT and a permanent member of the UN Security Council. Since the 1958 US–UK Mutual Defence Agreement, the United States and the United Kingdom have cooperated extensively on nuclear security matters. The special relationship between the two countries has involved the exchange of classified scientific data and materials such as plutonium is also best because this country is also nuclear power of the world which has about 225 nuclear or chemical weapons so their army is also known as best in the world due to their skills so far known as best country for the people to live despite of Nuclear power because of best use of this. Today, half of those are put to rest and they possess 215 nuclear missiles.China is most developed country in the world because china produces every thing for itself, China is largest populated country of the world with more than 1.38 billion inhabitants instead of this known as happy country, it is officially Known as People’s Republic of China, also largest country for making electronics and send this to almost all countries of the world, as China is also Nuclear power country therefore this country has 250 Nuclear weapons so the defense of this country is also best because of new technological weapons or other instrument used by its army, China is also oldest country in the world and known as second biggest country in the world with respect to land area.
UK is the third country to test a nuclear bomb in 1952. England is one of the five from the NPT states. UK has kept the size of its nuclear arsenal a top-secret and officially they have 150 active warheads. Historically, UK has conducted about 45 nuclear tests. Today, UK is considered as a powerful country in terms of its nuclear capabilities and number of possessed warheads.

4. China

Total Nuclear Missiles – 260
China is an emerging superpower economically as well as in terms of defense strengths. China has also emerged as a great power in the nuclear arms race. They are one of the oldest nations in the world to possess weapons of mass destruction. The number of nuclear warheads in China's arsenal is a state secret. There are varying estimates of the size of China's arsenal. China is estimated by the Federation of American Scientists to have an arsenal of about 260 total warheads as of 2015, which would make it the second smallest nuclear arsenal amongst the five nuclear weapon states acknowledged by the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons; in terms of warheads, they are ranked 3rd in megatonnage. According to some estimates, the country could "more than double" the "number of warheads on missiles that could threaten the United States by the mid-2020s" They performed the first nuclear test in 1964. The number of actual warheads with China is still unknown and is a state secret. There are reports that suggest that China could have as many as 3000 warheads. Officially, China has 260 warheads and those are not deployed. China has a strict policy of “no-first-use”, meaning they would attack only if they are attacked by a nuclear weapon on them. There are also reports that suggest China would double its nuclear power to beat USA by 2020.

3. France

Total Nuclear Missiles – 300
France is a country with constant attacks from the hands of terrorists and this country needs more protection than other European counterparts. France has 290 deployed warheads and 10 other warheads. France is the third largest nuclear-weapon state with a stock-pile of 300 nuclear warheads. France has the capability to strike with a nuclear weapon from air, sea or land – that is called as the triad strike. France is known to have deactivated all its land-based nuclear missiles. In 1996, France conducted its last nuclear test before joining Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT).Deployment: 54 warheads carried by the ASMPA equipping the Mirage 2000 N with the French Air Force and Dassault Rafale of Naval Aviation.[1] The airborne nuclear warheads (TNA) that are carried on the new improved medium-range air-to-ground missiles (in French ASMPA) are now loaded underneath the Rafale aircraft. Each TNA has a declared destructive power of 300 kilotonnes. This amounts to over 20 times the power of the bomb that destroyed Hiroshima on 6 August 1945 and caused some 250 000 deaths then or in the aftermath (De Gaulle gave the figure as 300 000). In comparison, therefore, each ASMPA missile could by itself cause 5 million deaths (not counting wounded) and annihilate the population of a city like Paris and its agglomeration.

2. Unites States

Total Nuclear Missiles – 6970
United States is considered as powerful country of the world which is also known as United States of America as this country has about 52 States in it, so total population of this country is also about 320 millions, according to the history of this country, US is considered as oldest country. The United States was the first country to manufacture nuclear weapons, with help from the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, and is the only country to have used them in combat, with the separate bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in World War II. Before and during the Cold War, it conducted over a thousand nuclear tests and tested many long-range nuclear weapons delivery systems. As talk about the defense of this country it has most organized army which has new best weapons and also this country is Number one Nuclear power of the world which has almost 7700 Nuclear weapons that he is the only country which has used on people of Japan in 1945 during Second World War but this country has most controversies with many countries including Russia, china and Pakistan therefore also known as most hated country of the world. USA has 2080 deployed warheads within the country as well as in other continents/countries. There are 5180 other warheads which are either tactical nuclear warheads or non-deployed strategic warheads. USA also has more number of ICBMs and SLBMs than Russia with a count of 785 missiles.Between 1940 and 1996, the U.S. government spent at least $8.89 trillion in present-day terms on nuclear weapons, including platforms development (aircraft, rockets and facilities), command and control, maintenance, waste management and administrative costs.

1. Russia

Total Nuclear Missiles – 7300
Russia had 45000 nuclear warheads at one point of time due to the nuclear race and to balance the competitions from the west. Russia is most important country in the world which is most famous due to its best quality weapons, this country is officially known as Russian Federation, so this is largest country in the world with respect to area but has about 146 million population, according to the history of this country is better known as one of the oldest countries in the world. This country is the larger producer of weapons in the world because this is also nuclear third power country of the world therefore it has largest number of nuclear weapons in the world which are about 8500 hundred in total therefore Russia sold weapons to all the countries in the world so there is no doubt in the quality of weapons of this country because there was a time it was recognized as number one super power of the world. According to the Federation of American Scientists, an organization that assesses nuclear weapon stockpiles, as of 2016, Russia possesses 7,300 total nuclear warheads, of which 1,790 are strategically operational. This is in large part due to the special bomber counting rules allowed by the treaty which counts each strategic nuclear bomber as one warhead irrespective of the number of warheads—gravity bombs and/or cruise missiles carried by the aircraft. The figures are, by necessity, only estimates because "the exact number of nuclear weapons in each country's possession is a closely held national secret." In addition to nuclear weapons, Russia declared an arsenal of 39,967 tons of chemical weapons in 1997, of which 57% have been destroyed. The Soviet Union ratified the Geneva Protocol on April 5, 1928 with reservations. The reservations were later dropped on January 18, 2001. Russia is also party to the Biological Weapons Convention and the Chemical Weapons Convention. The Soviet Union had a peak stockpile of 45,000 nuclear warheads in 1988. It is estimated that from 1949 to 1991 the Soviet Union produced approximately 55,000 nuclear warheads. There are thousands of non-deployed strategic warheads in Russia.
