Everyday in news papers we read about diseases, deaths and not to forget about the deadly “Terrorism attacks” If we start counting these horrifying attacks from the start of the 18th century, there are more than thousands of such instances when terror has been fueled and drilled into the minds of innocent people. So this list features history’s top 10 most dreadful terrorist attacks.Other issues have some remedies and prevention but the terrorism is the only issue which was, is and will be a biggest threat for any country. Some dates are never vanished in the world history , for instance, 9/11 for USA and 26/11 for Aamchi Mumbai. There is also this belief that we invite terrorism by ignoring them, It is very hypothetical to comment on terrorism . But now a “war against terrorism” is an impracticable conception where we are fighting terrorism with terrorism. On stopping this terrorism one has to remember this quote from Noam Chomsky “Everybody’s worried about stopping terrorism. Well, there’s a really easy way: stop participating in it” .However, here are the top 10 unforgettable largest terrorist attacks ever.1.9/11 attack (WTC):
9/11 attack on World Trade Center is truly on top of the list as it is the worst terrorist attack so far that has been faced by humans living anywhere in any part of the world. As it is known to all, these attacks were planned, monitored and executed by the world’s top most terrorist Osama Bin laden. He brought nightmares to all the US public.Also referred to as the twin-tower bombing that occurred on the 11th of September, 2011 is still believed to be a series of coordinated attacks launched by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda led by the notorious Osama bin laden who was killed by special American military forces on the 2nd of May, 2011. According to the mainstream media, four passenger airlines were hijacked by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists so they could be flown right into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. In total, almost 3000 people died in the attacks, including the 227 civilians and 19 hijackers aboard the four planes. Bin Laden first denied any involvement in the attacks; however in 2004 he claimed full responsibility. Anyway the deeper we investigate these attacks, the harder we find it to gulp the whole story down and makes it very hard to believe whatever the mainstream media and the United States government want us to see.Four planes were planned but only two were hit to the twin towers the others missed the target wherein one out of the other two hit the Washington pentagon and the last one was crashed into the field in Summer set County. It was a well planned tragic attack ever. It affected Nation’s foreign and democratic rules and policies. It raised doubts against the nation’s security and intelligence power.More importantly it affected all the IT countries which lead to a big set back called “recession”
2. The Wall Street Bombing:
The bombing occurred in the Financial District of New York City at around 12:01 pm, on a Thursday. The blast killed 38 people on site and seriously injured another 143. Investigators and historians have speculated that the bombing was carried out by an Italian anarchists group the Galleanists, they were also responsible for a series of bombings that occurred in the previous year, however the case was never solved and none were given justice.The death of 38 lives and 143 injured people results Wall Street bombing. This time it was gain in the month of September 16, 1920 at around 12.00 p.m. The bombs shook the New York’s financial sector. The team behind it was not traced exactly but they has a strong doubt and guessed that Galleanists were the one who were behind this cruel attack , but still they were not the officially announced. 3. 26/11 Mumbai attacks:
This is the most fiery and weird attack that took place in the Indian History. The spot was India’s most famous and royal Hotel group Hotel Taj Mahal which is in the premises of Gate way of India. There was a 64 hours long battle between the Military / police forces and the terrorists. There were shooting and bombing continuously from both the sides. It was like a hotel arrest by terrorist. The date 26 November 2008 will remain in the forever as a black day in the Indian history. There were 10 attacks on the same registered in several places of Mumbai on the same day; however Hotel Taj was the main target which witnessed the death of 100 innocent people who stayed in Taj.
4. The Okahlama city bombing:
The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was a United States federal government complex located at 200 N.W. 5th Street in Downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States. The building was the target of the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995, which killed 168 people, 19 of whom were children under the age of six. Half of the building collapsed seconds after the truck bomb detonated. The remains of the building were imploded a month after the attack, and the Oklahoma City National Memorial was built on the site.Oklahoma City’s, Alfred.P. Murrah Federal building was attacked with bombs on 19 April 1995. This is the 2nd and the deadliest terrorist attack ever on the soil of America. Around 170 people were dead that included 20 children and 680 more victims were injured. The terrorist Timothy Mcveigh , was the sole cause of this attack and he was imprisoned executed to death after 6 years.
5.Ma’a lot Massacre Terrorist Attacks:
In Israeli history, May 15, 1973 May 15, is considered as the worst day and a black day. Eleven passengers on a carrier bus were shot dead by attackers who ambushed and boarded the bus in the middle of the day. Ma’le Akrabim is Hebrew for the Scorpions Pass, which is a narrow, winding grade old road that connects Eilat and Beersheba, just south of Makhtesh Katan. The pass was on the primary route between Eilat and central Israel in 1954. Four passengers survived the attack, from whom two were Israeli soldiers, a woman and a five-year old girl – Miri Fristenberg, whose parents were killed in the attack.This is because of the huge massacre happened there as it was the only Jewish state on the earth. More than 115 people were taken as hostages and out of them 25 were killed and 66 were injured. The terrorists who belonged to the Liberation of Palestine were responsible for this cruel terrorist attack. They managed themselves to enter the Jewish state very easily. This incident took Israel into mourn. After 40 years of this incident people still remember the bad glimpses of that day and the sufferings of the people.
6 TWA Flight 841 Terrorist attacks:
The worst terrorist attack in the air, it is not a Hi-jack. It is something more terrified and miserable attack than that. The day was September 8, 1974. The Flight flew as usual from Athens to Rome. In the middle it took a break and stopped in Greece for about 70 min to take off to reach the next destination, New York City International Airport. In matter of this journey time the plane suddenly crashed into the Lonian Sea. At first the engine failure was given as a reason and the blame was pushed on the pilot’s inefficiency. No sooner the bitter and shocking truth came out stating that this plane collapse was because of a bomb blast in the plane. And the crash was a 100% terrorist bomb blast which belonged to the Abu Nadil Terrorist organisation. Around 80 passengers traveled in this plane and none of them came back safely as they were present lifelessly into the Lonian Sea.
7. Manhattan Attacks:
In 1997, one among the most well known and famous nationalist group was Puerto Ricon FALN group. It was involved in terrorist activities in US. On August 3 a group of trained people entered Manhattan and ruthlessly attacked both US Defense builds and Mobil Oil building. The attacks registered very low amount of death and injured rate (8 injured and 1 dead, according to the reports). The 2011 Manhattan terrorism plot was a conspiracy by two Muslim Arab-Americans to bomb various targets in the Manhattan borough of New York City, New York, USA. They had planned to attack an unspecified synagogue and one of them expressed interest in blowing up a church and the Empire State Building. New York City law enforcement arrested the two suspects, 26-year-old Ahmed Ferhani and 20-year-old Mohamed Mamdouh, in a sting operation on May 11, 2011. Their plot was motivated primarily by "hatred of infidels and anti-semitism" according to the authorities.But it hit the defense capabilities and power and also caused financial loss. It was a threatening sign to the US army that remained as the scary and worst terrorist attack ever in the US defense history.
8. Chechnya Border Attacks:
Chechnya is a border between Russia and European countries. March 24, 2001 is said to be a saddest day in Russia. At that time Russia was completely under the hold of the terrorists. These bomb blasts were continues in the form of 3 cars. It did affect the peaceful European country as well, as the blasts were made exactly near the borders. Both the countries equally shared the killings and faced the doomed consequences.Although the most publicized Chechen suicide attacks have taken place in Moscow, most attacks have occurred in Chechnya, while several additional attacks have taken place in the extended North Caucasus region and particular the neighboring Russian republic of Ingushetia. The majority of suicide bombings, targeting military installations and government compounds in and around Chechnya and also top government officials, have been directed against those whom the separatists consider to be combatants. The entire bomb blasts resulted in 20 deaths and 100 injured people.
9. Anthrax attacks:
Soon after the unexpected and the shocking WTC attack this attack took its way gradually. It started exactly after the 1 week of the WTC i.e. September 18; 2001.It had a slow start and steadily caused an impact after several weeks. It claimed the death of 5 innocent lives and injured 15 people. This was one of the most complicated cases to handle in the history; it was openly stated by FBI officials. This attack dint had bombs, weapons or anything else. It was just through letters that contained these anthrax spores. It was a biological terrorist attack. These letters were posted to the well positioned officials like Senators along with the media officers. The reason behind these attacks is not known exactly. Firstly it was blamed on Al Qaeda, later FBI suspected Dr Ivins who was a country official. After few weeks he committed suicide. This incident led to more suspicious turns. FBI officials also announced that he was a lead head of this attack. The Government officials got panicked and took powerful antibiotics and increased the security.
10.World Trade Centre (WTC) Bombing of 1993:
World Trade center was a center of attraction for all these terrorist attacks. Well before 9/11 incident the WTC already World Trade Center already got a choke through bomb blasts on Feb 26, 1993. This was said to be a failure one as they aimed for twin tower attacks and missed their task. There was a truck placed in the basement parking of North Tower New York city. Miserably, the truck was full of bombing materials. This was a failure attack as it did not demolish the twin towers. But it was the first biggest attack to destroy the backbone of the US. Ahmad Ajaj, Mahmud Abouhalima, Nidal A. Ayyad, Ramzi Yousef, Abdul Rahman and Mohammad Salameh, were the core team group who planned and executed this attack which was financed by Shaikh Mohammed.
